They came, they saw

They realized the wealth

Then we were powerful

So they waited and waited till

We were weak and fragmented.

Then at the proper moment

They made the offensive and

Left us defeated and conquered.

For many years they ruled us

But we didn’t like this oppressive reign

We spoke against them

They said they wouldn’t leave

But ultimately they had to leave

Because their time was over

And then we won.
