Sea of Darkness

Spreading across vast distances
it had drowned many villages in it
considered as unlucky by the locals
It was a site nobody wished to go
Its waters were dark as graphite
its depth had many mysteries in it
Its darkness told stories of the past
stories which were never repeated again.
A dark story which lies beneath it
tells the story of a legendary battle
in which warriors clanked their arms
and took the life of their enemies.
Their red glorious blood drained into this lake
and decayed for many long years
and now it has turned the lake into black
and now if you wish to know
the secret of its darkness

that things decay and today's present will be tomorrow's past.
